i met jack for the 3rd & 4th time on saturday. (in iowa city, for their halloween show.) he has always been my favorite, and always will be. however, whenever i’ve thanked any memeber of atl, it’s been alex. i’ve written him letters, and thanked him in person for everything. all time low will always be my number one. more important than anything and anyone in my life. i talked to jack at a m&g before the show, and during it, he was fantastic. he sang poppin champagne to me, gave me his pick, and was just typical jack. he was fun, energetic, happy, and inspirational.
after the show, we stayed anyway. even if we had met all of them before. he came out to sign, and i let a few people talk to him before i did, because they had never met him. when he turned to me, he goes, “OH LOOK IT’S YOU AGAIN!” and remembered me from before the show. kind of spur of the moment, i thought he should know that i wouldn’t be the same person without atl. so i told him thanks for everything he’s ever done, and explained how important atl is to me. after i finished, being jack, he held his arms open, and screamed, “JUST HUG ME BABY GIRL!” so i did.
he held me tight. while he was hugging me, he said (just loud enough for only me to hear..) “you’re welcome for everything. we’re always here. just stay awesome, okay?” and when he pulled out of the hug, he had the sweetest smile on his face.
you always hear about jack being a party kid. he’s loud, he’s hyper, he’s barely ever serious, and he cracks more dick jokes than anyone i’ve ever met.
but there is another side to him. the one that cares, and that made that the best moment of my entire life.
knowing that your hero cares about you, and is willing to listen is the best feeling in the entire world.
*the photo’s blurry but it’s the one from after the show, so i used it anyway.
